The team will be staying at a compound just miles from the epicenter of the recent earthquake.  The compound has beds, running water, electricity, a swimming pool and secure walls.  Team members will receive their meals at the compound.  The team will set up impromptu clinics in tent camps that have sprung up in downtown Port Au Prince since the earthquake treating both acute injuries as well as long-term medical needs that arise in the various camps.

Applications for the March Haiti team should be submitted no later than March 15, 2010. Team members will be notified of the status of their application within 72 hours of applying.  Because of the short turn-around time for this trip, team members will be asked to pay for their trip in full as soon as they have been notified of the status of their application.
