Team members will land in Nairobi Kenya. After a rest day, team members will be taken by truck on a day-long journey to the village of Oyugis in western Kenya. The team will be involved in holding daily clinics as well as health-promotional educational efforts in the community of Oyugis. After approximately 9 days of clinics, team members will be transported to the Masai Mara reserve for a relaxing jungle safari. The trip will end with a day of shopping in Nairobi Kenya before returning home.

• Amount of in-country travel: Minimal: there will be several days of heavy ground travel via trucks to travel from Nairobi to Oyugis; from Oyugis to Masai Mara and from Masai Mara to Nairo.

• Sleeping arrangements:Team members will sleep in a simple hotel with beds and bathroom facilities.
  

• Running water/electricity: Running water and electricity is available at the hotel, but will not be available at the clinic sites.
  

• Physical requirements:  Team members will be asked to hike several miles each day to and from the clinic along rough terrain. Team members may be asked to assist lifting heavy luggage.
  

Applications for this team will be accepted until March 15, 2011.  Note that applying for a team does not guarantee acceptance.  All applicants will be notified of the status of their application no later than March 30, 2011.

**Price includes airfare from major US cities to Kenya, ground transportation in Kenya, food and lodging in Kenya, all taxes as well as visa and government fees and a team t-shirt.  The price does not include immunizations, airline luggage fees, and costs incurred outside of Kenya.
